A few times a week I head to the Perfect Duluth Day calendar – I really should have it bookmarked – to check out what’s going on in and around the city. I love seeing all of the activity around town and know that if I’m ever looking for something to do, Duluth has an event lined up. I’m particularly excited about the weekend of the 26th, as there are several big events heading our way.
Live music, plays, gallery openings, and trivia nights pepper the Perfect Duluth Day calendar every day. The other night I checked out Carmody Irish Pub and took part in their trivia night. Though it made me realize just how little I know, I still won a copy of Tom Sawyer.
The Brewhouse crew is at it again! Over the years they have graced our city with venues to enjoy mouth-watering food, craft beer, and specialty cocktails, all while preserving the history of the buildings they occupy. Endion Station Public House celebrates their grand opening with The Current on July 25th starting at 3pm.
Red Herring Lounge.
The Current continues their tour of Duluth by heading over to our newest music scene and bar, The Red Herring Lounge on July 25th at 8pm. If you haven’t been there yet, the owners have done a terrific job of creating a place for music lovers to relax in an inviting atmosphere and admire local art while enjoying local music. Duluthian bands featuring Low, Tin Can Gin, and Sarah Krueger will preform live. Unfortunately, free herring is not part of the act.
All Pints North Summer Brew Fest.
The rise of craft breweries has created an influx of brew fests. The Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild is bringing back its newest event, All Pints North Summer Brew Fest. This rain or shine outdoor event will take place at Bayfront Park on Saturday, July 26th, complete with live music and beer-centered activities, or beertivities.
So now you know, well in advance, to make plans to stick around town the weekend of the 26th. If you can’t be around, there are many ways to stay on top of Duluth’s event and music scene.
